38 Days Later . . .
I just drove home in my car. My car. I am almost $700 in the hole (because my insurance company are assholes and NJ has the most dumbass insurance laws) but I have my car. My lease is up June 6th and, as a result of this crash which was no fault of my own, I now cannot afford to return it ($450 "disposition fee") and lease a new car, so I might be releasing it. I must first consult with my financial consultant and my automobile consultant (also known at my sister and her husband, respectively). I adore the features in this car (radio and CD controls on the steering wheel should be a requirement) and I was actually looking at leasing the same car in a sedan model (current car - so pretty).
I am still in pain. I still dream of sending a box of cat poo to the claims adjuster. I still plan to change can insurance as soon as I decide on a new car or renew my lease. I drove home like a nervous old woman. But I have my car back.
In the meantime, I am attempting to knit, but it takes forever because I can't knit while I am flat on my back due to pain.
